Spring Nail Trends

Here are my top 3 nail trends from the 2014 Fashion Week runways.

1) The Almondetto/Toe-Cap Nail

As seen on the Kate Spade models this new nail shape (a combination of the ‘almond’ and ‘stiletto’ shapes, hence the name) adds an elegant yet fierce look to anyone’s manicure. The toe-cap nail art (named after the style of shoe it draws inspiration from) is a new twist on the regular French manicure, and its clean lines and small pop of colour make for a fresh, spring style!

2) Tibi Nail Art

This subtle line nail art is the perfect way to add some activity to  boring one colour nail varnish. Best of all it’s so easy to do!

3) Colour, Colour, Colour

I bet you’re thinking, ‘Sam. Colour is always big in spring.’ Yes, yes, I know. But that doesn’t make it any less of a trend! You can’t go wrong with semi-pastels, like this gorgeous blue as seen on the runway for Prabal Gurung.
