Perfect Winter Hat Hair

Winter is still raging on here in Toronto, and in order to beat the cold, myself and many others in the city have adopted the customary “winter hat hair.”

What is this winter hat hair, you may ask?

Winter hat hair is the wonderful habit of incorporating beanies (in Canada we like to call them tuques, as that is the French Canadian name for them) into our every day style, not out of a sense of fashion but out of necessity.

Here are my three favourite tuque hairstyles:

1) The long, luxurious  hair look.

Your roots may look awful and dishevelled but no one will every know. This look is perfect with either a soft wave to the bottom of your hair, or pin straight.

2) The short and cute.

Short hairstyles can be hard to maintain in that you have very little options of how to style it, but I love the way short cuts look with tuques! Day off from styling? I like the sound of that!

3) The braid.

Braids and twists (like the one shown above) are perfect ways to tame your hair quickly with the help of a tuque. Pull all your hair to one side and style for a killer look!
