What’s Causing Your Breakout?

giphy

1) Working out

There are a couple of reasons why working out can cause a breakout. Firstly, you can be using equipment and mats that other people just used without cleaning. All of the bacteria will eventually touch your face, causing your face to react. Secondly, you sweat during a workout, and sometimes we don’t shower immediately after. Not only is it important for your face to shower directly after, but also for the rest of your body. This could lead to back acne and rashes.

2) Bangs

Whether you have full front bangs, or some shorter hairs around the front of your face, the oil from your hair touching your face is never good. Make sure your wash the front of your hair really well with shampoo to get rid of all the dirt that collects over the day. If you’re working out or sweating, bobby pin your bangs back.

3) Popping pimples

This one is obvious, because you’ve been told not to touch your pimples ever since you were 13 years old. And it is still true! When you pop your pimples, if you must, make sure you use a tissue to touch the pimple, NOT your hands. However, your hands still should be clean while doing this incase your fingers get in the way.

4) Makeup brushes

I’ve said this before, but not washing your brushes will cause breakouts! If you take a look at my last post, you will find a quick 2 ingredient way to clean your brushes.

5) Cell Phone

Your cell phone is always collecting bacteria, either from your face, your fingers or whatever table its sitting on. Try and remember to clean it once a day so that the bacteria doesn’t keep building up.
